My Story
Where It All Began
At 15, my passion for photography sparked when my stepfather gave me his old Praktica camera. I became fascinated by movement, light, and the beauty hidden in everyday moments—things most people overlooked.
Creativity & The Artistic Path
Creativity runs in my family. My mother, a gifted craftswoman, inspired me to follow my creative instincts. First I went to Fashion School after high school, in the Netherlands, where I grew up. before discovering my true calling in photography and graphic design. This led me to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, where I learned to develop my skills and built the foundation for my creative career.
Photography = Magic
After college, I briefly worked at a photographic stock agency but quickly realized I wasn’t meant for the 9-to-5 life. I spent 10 years as a self-employed graphic designer and photographer in Amsterdam
In 2018, I left Amsterdam after 17 years for a quieter life in Canada, trading city noise for open landscapes and a deeper connection to nature—a shift that continues to inspire my work today.
